The Czech University of Life Sciences is a public university that just celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2016. The university has more than 18 000 students, 10% of which are international. It is divided into 6 faculties- Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of A grobiology, Food and Natural Resources, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences and 1 institute- Institute of Education and Communication.

The university is situated in a calm area of Prague 6- Dejvice just 15 minutes away from a metro station. The campus is fairly large and you'll discover that everything you need is in walking distance to your faculty. There is a student information centre, student library, computer centres and study areas to help the students with their duties. After the lessons, you can visit the sport centre, with an indoor swimming pool, a well- equipped fitness centre, a tennis hall, a running track etc. To clear your head in the evening and meet new people there is numerous restaurants to choose from and student pubs and clubs to have a good time in.
If you like outdoor activities in summer, you will be delighted to discover the university surroundings. Not far away from the campus there is the nature park Šárka- Lysolaje with its woods, river Šárka, Podbaba cliffs and beautiful scenery ideal for hiking and enjoying nature. Just a few minutes' walk will get you to river Vltava where there is a cycle track on both its banks made for bike trips or roller skating with outside garden restaurants to rest in and have a beer with friends in. On the opposite bank of river Vltava there is the Prague Zoo covering a huge area that has been ranked as the 4th best Zoo in the world.
